Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Days after RadarOnline.com caught former Cosby Show star Geoffrey Owens working as a cashier at Trader Joe's, it looks like the actor has a luxe new Hollywood job!

On Tuesday, September 4, actor and producer Tyler Perry even offered 57-year-old Owens a role on his TV show.

"#GeoffreyOwens I'm about to start shootings OWN's number one drama next week! Come join us!!! I have so much respect for people who hustle between gigs. The measure of a true artist," Perry, 48, tweeted.

The happy news comes after Owens went on Good Morning America to tell fans not to pity him for his humble life.

"No one should feel sorry for me," he insisted. "I've had a great life. I've had a great career. I've had a career that most actors would die for. So no one has to feel sorry for me. I'm doing fine!"

While Owens has been out of the limelight for years, it seems he may be returning to TV sooner than anyone expected.
