'Southern Charm's Thomas Ravenel Heading To Court After Assault & Battery Charges
Thomas Ravenel is heading to court following his arrest for allegedly assaulting his nanny in 2015, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
According to court records obtained by RadarOnline.com, the Southern Charm star is expected to make an appearance at the Charleston County Magistrate Court on November 16.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Ravenel, 56, was taken into custody on Sept. 25 after a warrant was issued for his arrest and he turned himself in.
Ravenel was charged with second degree assault and battery and was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center prior to making bail later in the day.
Following his release, Detective Malinowksi — who conducted the investigation — provided an affidavit highlighting disturbing details of the alleged incident that took place on January 25, 2015.
The affidavit claimed Ravenel pulled down the victim's pants and and placed her hand on his penis. He then tried to take off her clothing.
“While attempting to remove the victim’s clothing, the victim’s underwire bra cut into her skin and her shirt wrapped around her neck, which caused the victim to struggle to breathe,” read the affidavit. “The defendant pulled down the victim’s pants and said, 'Show me your p***y,' and began grabbing at the victim’s vagina.”
Ravenel continued to assault her. The report alleged: “The victim crouched down to the ground to try and prevent further assault, and the defendant then put his penis in her face and asked, ‘Do you like big d***s?’”

“After escaping the assault, the victim called her then ex-husband and sister and told them of the incident, fled the scene and notified several family members of the incident," police reported. "Photographs were then taken immediately of the injuries to her neck and chest. Detectives corroborated the incident date and location through employment records of the victim and defendant, and interviewed multiple witnesses, who substantiated the post-assault information."
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Ravenel was fired from Southern Charm after the allegations were revealed earlier in the year. On Tuesday, Bravo confirmed Ravenel would not be returning to the show.
