Meghan McCain Takes Break From ‘The View’ Following Famous Father John’s Death
Meghan McCain is taking a break from The View following father John McCain’s tragic cancer death, RadarOnline.com has learned.
On Tuesday, the Republican commentator was visibly absent from the show, a fact which new cohost Abby Huntsman eventually addressed to viewers.
“Meghan is like a sister to me and this was the hardest thing she has ever been through,” said Huntsman. “Her dad was her best friend, her dad was everything. I was so proud of her—it was like her dad had passed the torch to her. She was now speaking for the family.”
She also honored her friend’s late father, calling him a hero who was “willing to give his life for this country.”
