Jennifer Love Hewitt High-Fived Michael Jackson's Monkey, Attended Party At His Ranch

Apparently, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Michael Jackson were once BFFs.

This Wednesday, during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the actress told a hilarious and amazing story about her years-long friendship with the late music icon.

As it turns out, the two met when Love Hewitt was a 10-year-old aspiring artist—and the King of Pop was, well, the King of Pop.

At the time, the 13-time Grammy winner was cast to film commercial for the lifestyle brand LA Gear. Prior to arriving on set, she was simply told she would be filming with a "Michael."

"I thought 'Ok cool, a fun little kid named Michael!'" Love Hewitt, 39, told Jimmy Kimmel on the show. But as soon as she arrived, she realized it was Jackson—oh, and his monkey, Bubbles.

"I got to meet Bubbles!" said Love Hewitt, adding that she even gave the adorable animal a "high-five!"

The actress said that while she was excited to meet Jackson at the time, she would have surely "pooped" her pants if their meeting had happened in her twenties.

The star recalled that she had to leave the commercial shoot with MJ to attend a charity event later that day. Hearing this, Jackson praised her, telling her to keep doing good and being herself.

"He was like 'Never lose that. Always be that person,'" said the actress, adding that to support his point, he later sent a check to the charity hosting the event and made it out in Love Hewitt's name.

After their meeting, the actress kept in touch with Jackson, and was even invited to his family Thanksgiving party at Neverland Ranch!
