Alex Rodriguez To Leave ‘Good Morning America’ After Michael Strahan Feud

After one year, one fiery feud and not much impact, Alex Rodriguez is done with Good Morning America!

According to The New York Post, the retired baseball star has decided to leave his post as the morning show’s contributor — and nobody complained.

A source told the paper there was a general feeling between the cast and crew that there was no real room for A-Rod, 43, with Michael Strahan as the main host.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Strahan was feeling overshadowed by the celebrity athlete, and was not happy he had stolen the spotlight at his beloved morning show.

“They both have massive egos,” the source told RadarOnline.com in July. “Michael is seething that all anybody talks about is A-Rod."

Apparently, however, there are no hard feelings, as Rodriguez has already moved on to other TV opportunities.

Apart from running his own CNBC show, Back in the Game, J.Lo’s hunk has also appeared on NBC’s TODAY.

While A-Rod had a one-year run with GMA, producers did not bring him on air to discuss personal fitness and finance as much as anyone expected.

A source close to the athlete told the outlet that it was logistically difficult for him to appear on GMA because of his busy schedule and many jobs. As RadarOnline.com readers know, Rodriguez is also part of the ESPN crew for Sunday Night Baseball.

Plus, according to the insider, A-Rod was making less that $500,000 at GMA — which apparently to him, is not much money.
