Kirstie Alley Admits She Almost ‘Ran Off & Married’ John Travolta, Still Loves Him!
Kirstie Alley is deeply in love with longtime pal John Travolta—and she’s not afraid to say it!
In a shocking—and somewhat awkward—episode of Celebrity Big Brother U.K., the actress recalled the time she kissed her Look Who’s Talking costar, fell in love with him, and nearly got hitched!
“I think I kissed Travolta,” Alley said to the group. “I almost ran off and married John. I did love him, I still love him. If I hadn’t been married I would’ve gone and married him and I would’ve been in an airplane because he has his own plane.”
Alley—who is a Scientologist just like Travolta—added that she believes the hunk felt the same way about her. Regardless, they didn’t do anything about their secret love, since Alley was married to Parker Stevenson at the time.
“It took me years to not look at John as a romantic interest,” said Alley, adding he was “the greatest love of my life.”
Alley eventually divorced Stevenson in 1997, but by then, Travolta had already married actress Kelly Preston.
Alley told her Big Brother cast mates that the blonde beauty would “bust” her because she knew about her massive crush on Travolta.
“She would be, like, ‘Are you flirting with my husband?’ And the answer was, ‘Yes,'” Alley joked.
While Alley admitted she never felt about anyone the way she felt (and feels) and about Travolta, she did have a crush on another one of her former costars: Patrick Swayze!
“I would’ve loved to have an affair with Patrick Swayze but we were both married so I wouldn’t have gone off with him,” she said.

“I kissed him and I wish I could’ve had an affair but I’m a strong believer in fidelity and he was married,” Alley continued. “When you get on the road and you do a movie, it’s very easy to fall in love with your leading man. Very, very easy.”
The actress—who filmed North and South with Swayze for an entire year— said that it’s nearly impossible to spend so much time with someone and not be attracted to them in some way.
“It’s just hard, I think,” she added.
