‘Armed & Dangerous!’ Bristol’s Ex Dakota’s Burglar Broke Into Home With Sledge Hammer
Bristol Palin's baby daddy Dakota Meyer could be in danger. RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive details on the August 9 burglary that took place at the Teen Mom OG star's ex-husband's Kentucky home.
Trooper Nicholas Hale exclusively told RadarOnline.com that Meyer’s younger brother Timothy Gilliam has been living in his Adair County home.
“Gilliam got home yesterday afternoon at 6:23pm and found out the house had been broken into,” Trooper Hale told RadarOnline.com. “He called us. Food was stolen from the fridge and a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee was taken. He got in the house from a back window with a sledge hammer.”
Gilliam provided authorities with surveillance footage. Police believe the suspect is Shawn Christy, although no arrests have been made.
“We sent his fingerprints to the lab to seal the deal,” he explained. “We’re waiting until evidence is back from the lab. We’re pretty sure it’s him.”
The 27-year-old recently threatened to kill President Donald Trump and Meyer in the past, police claim.
“He is armed and dangerous,” Trooper Hale said. “We believe he has several weapons on him. We’ve been told he’s stolen a couple of pistols off his own family members.”
Trooper Hale believes Christy “probably hoped Meyer was home at the time.”
The newest information in the case is that plate readers picked up Christy's location close to West Virginia.
Meyer asked followers to help track down the suspect on his Instagram page.
“I wasn’t home… unfortunately,” he captioned a photo of his home. “Here’s the link. Any information let us know.”
Christy has a long history of terrorizing the Palin family. In 2011, Christy was arrested for harassing former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her family through phone calls and letters since 2009.
Palin eventually obtained a restraining order against the alleged stalker in 2011. She accused him of threatening to rape one of her daughters. He also allegedly sent them a ticket showing he was coming to Alaska with a receipt for a gun purchase. The order is still in place.
Gilliam and Meyer did not respond to RadarOnline.com’s request for comment.
Palin, 27, will appear on the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG. They announced that their divorce has been finalized over Instagram. They share daughters Sailor and Atlee.
