'Alaskan Bush' Cancer Horror: Mom Ami 'Fell Over Dead For 20 Minutes'

Alaskan Bush People matriarch Ami Brown very publicly fought late-stage cancer last year — but the disease was worse than fans ever knew. In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, 54-year-old Ami's husband Billy Brown claimed last November, she nearly "fell over dead."

“In November, when everything was over — she was supposed to be healed — and she fell over dead for like 20 minutes," the 63-year-old patriarch told RadarOnline.com. “It was horror."

At one point, the reality TV father of seven thought he would "lose her" for good.

"We sat there and watched her go down every day, and I didn’t know if I would lose her or not. It was a real hard test of fate, I will tell you that," he said.

Though Ami has said her cancer is in remission, she still has "traces" of the disease, Billy claimed:

“She still has stage 0 primary, and there are still traces. But they took the majority out, and the growth is really slow."

According to Ami, she is not giving up the fight — and even looks at her diagnosis as a “blessing in disguise."

“When I found out, we didn’t really know what it consisted of. God gave me the cancer. I look at it as a blessing," Ami told RadarOnline.com.

“It has taught me to stay positive and lean on the Lord and always let your loved ones know how much they mean to you. Never give up and never surrender. Be strong and live every single moment, every day to the fullest.”
