Nikki Calls Off Wedding To John Cena For Second Time: 'My Heart Hurts So Bad'
Nikki Bella called off her wedding to John Cena for the second time on this Sunday's season finale of Total Bellas.
It all began when the WWE star, 41, was unable to make his appointment at the Napa wedding venue he and Nikki, 34, had reserved. The stunner's twin sister Brie came with her instead, and made it clear that John's absence was worrying.
"John should be here, not me," she told Nikki. "Your wedding is around the corner."
Days later, Nikki, John, Brie, 34, and her husband Daniel Bryan headed to Wrestlemania. Following the event, Nikki admitted that she had to fake her happiness because she actually felt "miserable."
Nikki hid her unhappiness for some time but eventually had a meltdown during a phone call with Brie. As she and Bryan, 37, celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, Nikki called her to say that she and John "might be calling off the wedding again."
"I mean, there's no harm in postponing it," Bryan told his wife.
"I think John doesn't see it that way," Brie answered.
A confused Nikki then flew to San Diego to be with her sister, telling her that John had given her an ultimatum and told her she had one day to decide what she wanted.'
"It's tough 'cause he's like fighting really hard for me. … The tables have kind of turned," said Nikki. "I didn't give myself long enough the first time we broke up because I got so excited he wanted kids."
RadarOnline.com readers know John spoke openly to reporters after his first split from Nikki, saying he was dying to have kids with her and spend their lives together. While his heartfelt words won Nikki over, he apology didn't turn out to be enough for her in the end.
"I feel like I've ruined everyone's fairy tale. My heart hurts so bad," said a teary-eyed Nikki in the episode. "It just sucks," she added. "I wish it could be different, and I think that's why I've had almost six years of working on us and fighting and just taking in a lot. I just feel like I've hit the point that I'm just so exhausted and done."
She then told Brie that John was still waiting for her final decision. "I think I know it, but I'm just afraid to say it," she admitted.
"I just don't want to hurt him," she continued, tearing up. "It's just hard when you love someone so much and care for them so much, but you just can't do it anymore. It's not his fault, it's not my fault. We've had this amazing love story and it's just come to an end."
