For Better Or Worse! 'Jersey Shore's The Situation To Wed Fiancee Lauren Before Prison Sentence

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is ready to run, not walk, down the aisle. The Jersey Shore star is eager to say "I do" to fiancee Lauren Pesce before he begins his prison sentence, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

The 35-year-old reality star, who is facing up to five years behind bars for tax evasion, is planning to get married in late September or early October, a source close to Pesce told RadarOnline.com.

Though Sorrentino is scheduled to be sentenced on September 7, a source close to his legal counsel told RadarOnline.com he will likely not have to report to prison for another 30 to 60 days following the court date — so he will have most of the fall to celebrate his nuptials.

“They are working out the exact date now, as well as the location for the wedding and venue for the reception,” the source added.

No matter how much time the star is ordered to serve, the source insisted Pesce will remain by his side for the entire sentence.

“They are both hoping for leniency. But it does not matter to Lauren how long he has to go to prison," the source continued. "She will stand by him no matter what. She will be visiting him in prison as often as she is allowed."

Just like his romantic proposal, the duo’s lavish wedding will be filmed, and will include the entire cast of Jersey Shore. In fact, several of Sorrentino’s costars are going to be in the wedding party!

“Everyone is just so proud of Mike for getting sober, and are just as close with Lauren as they are with him.” the insider revealed. As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Sorrentino celebrated two years sober earlier this year.

Though Sorrentino tweeted that the wedding would likely appear on the next season of the hit show, which is currently filming in New Jersey, a production insider told RadarOnline.com producers may air the footage in a TV special or a later season due to deadlines.
