Clooney's helmet shattered the car's windshield on impact, but luckily, the head gear saved his life.

The regretful driver called an ambulance after hitting the four-time Golden Globe winner and waited until he was transported to a nearby hospital. There, Clooney underwent various tests including an MRI scan and checked out of the ER with a few painful bruises.

George Clooney had no alcohol or drugs in his system at the time of the crash. He is expected to recover within 20 days.
