ABC has pulled episode 2 of The Proposal after a contestant was accused of setting up a woman for sexual assault.
“An allegation has been made against a contestant on next week’s episode of The Proposal,” said ABC and Warner Horizon in a recent statement. “While the accusation was not related to the contestant’s appearance on the program, we take it very seriously. ABC and the producers of ‘The Proposal’ are pulling the episode while this matter is under review.”
RadarOnline.com has learned Milwaukee resident Erica Denae Meshke claimed show contestant Michael J. Friday messaged her on Tinder last November. They agreed to meet at an entertainment room inside an apartment complex, but when she arrived, he was with two other men.
“One of the men pictured here was directly responsible for my date rape,” Meshke in a Facebook post describing the alleged incident while sharing a photo of Friday. “After keeping this buried for nearly eight months, and seeing this man continue to succeed and not be held accountable for his actions, I’ve had enough.”
The woman claimed that she accepted two drinks from the men—which she now realized were clearly spiked—and Friday left the room telling her he’d be back. He never returned, and the other two men date raped her.
“I was taken to an apartment upstairs by one of the older men, and the things I endured for the next 5 hours were unspeakable,” continues Meshke. “I was threatened afterwards, and told that he was very ‘powerful’ and would ‘find me’ if I told anyone what he did.”
