Brody Jenner Gets Married On Island As His Dad Caitlyn Snubs Wedding
Caitlyn Jenner's son Brody Jenner got married on an exotic island today to his longtime girlfriend—but Cait snubbed the ceremony! As RadarOnline.com readers know, Catilyn, 68, decided to attend the Life Ball in Vienna, Austria, on June 2 instead with her much younger girlfriend Sophia Hutchins, 21. The big event raises awareness for HIV/AIDS.
Former "The Hills" star Brody's half-sisters, Kylie and Kendall, also reportedly skipped his wedding. Just hours before Brody walked down the aisle, Cait and Sophia were spotted enjoying a cocktail party at the Le Meridien Hotel in Vienna on Friday night for the Life Ball.
The move showed transgender former I Am Cait star's estrangement from family members. Brody, 34, married longtime squeeze Kaitlynn Carter, 29, in an ocean-view wedding on June 2 at the exotic Nihi Resort on Sumba Island, off the coast of Indonesia, PEOPLE reported.
Guests included Brody's brother Brandon and their mom Linda Thompson.
Brody, his family members, and pals-- numbering about 50 people--reportedly enjoyed four days of festivities for the destination wedding, including horse races on the beach and a white party.
But Caitlyn took part in none of the joy as she flew to Austria with blonde beauty Hutchins.
A rep for Caitlyn confirmed that she would skip Brody's ceremony due to “prior work commitments.” But a source told RadarOnline.com that Caityn's “number one priority” is Sophia, who banned the former decathlete from attending the nuptials!
“Cait could have gone to Brody’s wedding if she really wanted to. But she didn't because of her boss Sophia,” a source connected to Cait revealed. “The truth is, Sophia’s Cait’s number one priority and they’re inseparable.
“Brody’s wedding date and all the traveling screws up things that Cait already has planned with Sophia,” the source explained. “Sophia wasn’t up for all the wedding extravaganza and because she wasn't, neither was Cait."
But Cait and Hutchins were up for chatting with other celebrities such as Kelly Osbourne at the Austria for Life Ball pre-event cocktail party. Cait wore a feminine, flowy floral frock to the bash while Hutchins showed off her body in a tight black dress.
Not long after that, in Asia, Brody got married to his love Kaitlynn, who, strangely, shares the same name as her new husband's dad (with a different spelling).
"We’re just excited to celebrate spending the rest of our lives together," Brody had told PEOPLE before the ceremony.
He said Kaitlynn is an "amazing girl."
Kaitlynn had been Brody's live-in love and in 2016, he proposed to her on Nihi Sumba, which became their wedding location.
