Bill Cosby’s New Lawyer ‘Looking Forward’ To Representing Shamed Comic In Rape Case

Bill Cosby’s new attorney is up and running, days after RadarOnline.com exclusively reported the shamed comedian was firing his entire legal team amid marriage troubles with wife Camille.

The 80-year-old’s partner of 54 years dumped him after he was found guilty of raping former Temple University staffer Andrea Constand.

“I am looking forward to representing Mr. Cosby in post verdict proceedings and at sentencing. There are complicated legislative and constitutional issues unique to Pennsylvania law that have to be addressed prior to sentencing. I will make no further comment at this time,” Cosby’s new lawyer, Joseph P. Green Jr. wrote in a press release this June 14.

The attorney will represent the former star in his scandalous rape case. According to a RadarOnline.com source, Cosby felt let down by attorney Tom Mesereau and his legal team after he was charged with sexual assault and sentenced to house arrest: “he’s angry!”

Mesereau has never represented a high-profile case such as Bill Cosby’s, but it seems he might be the disgraced funnyman’s only chance at freedom.

The now-single comic could face up to 30 years behind bars for his crime if Green Jr. doesn’t change his fate before his September sentencing.
