Bill Cosby’s Fired Lawyer Blasts Outcome Of Disgraced Star’s Sex Assault Case

High-profile Hollywood lawyer Tom Mesereau has broken his silence after being canned as Bill Cosbys lawyer, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

During a one-hour interview on All Things P.I.— hosted by famed private eye Scott Ross — Mesereau slammed the judge and district attorney handling Cosby’s trial.

“In my opinion, the judge favored the prosecution!” blasted Mesereau, who successfully defended Michael Jackson against child molestation charges in 2005.

“Let him go to trial again, and make it be fair!” Mesereau demanded during his first interview on Thursday. “This case was politically motived and driven.”

As RadarOnline.com reported, Cosby, 80, was charged on three counts of aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand on April 26.

“You’re talking about events going back 30-years ago…going back thirty years is utterly ridiculous!” Mesereau ranted, referring to the other women who testified Cosby sexually assaulted them, too. “I think these convictions need to be set aside and he needs his right to a fair trial.”

When RadarOnline.com asked why the lawyer didn’t bring in an out-of-town jury to decide Cosby’s fate — as the disgraced comedian’s previous team had done — he responded: “It’s a matter of strategy that I don’t want to talk about. I’d rather not get into that.”

Cosby, who is on home arrest until his sentencing in September, is now dealing with the failure of his 52-year marriage with his wife, Camille .

“Mr. Cosby has to go through a lot of pain and discomfort,” said Mesereau during the radio show, adding, “I’m still reeling from the process.”
