Meghan Markle Finally Speaks Out After Father Drops Out Of Wedding
Meghan Markle is finally speaking out about the wild controversy and scandal surrounding her reclusive father. This Thursday morning — one day after Thomas Markle’s heart surgery — Kensigton Palace shared a statement in Meghan’s behalf.
"Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding," the former Suits star announced. "I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health."
"I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday,” Meghan, 36, added.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Thomas suffered a heart attack just days before he was meant to walk his famous daughter down the aisle at Windsor Castle. He told reporters that he even checked himself out of the hospital so he could head to London, but was still having chest pains.

Days later, Thomas was caught in a wild staged photo scandal that caused him to drop out of the wedding for good. He told reporters he did not want to cause his daughter further embarrassment so he would not attend the ritzy ceremony.
"This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding," Kensington Palace said in a statement this Monday after the photo scandal. "She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation."
Just hours later, however, he changed his mind again! After Meghan begged him to walk her down the aisle to Prince Harry, 33, Thomas agreed. He claimed that if his health allowed, he would be there to accompany her.
Unfortunately, Thomas had to undergo an emergency heart surgery this Wednesday, due to damage caused by the horrific heart attack. He is now in recovery and will reportedly remain in the hospital for several days. According to various outlets, Meghan’s dad is not allowed to “get excited” until his heart is in better shape.
Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, will likely be walking her down the aisle this May 19 in London.
