"Tatum did inquire about visiting her brother Redmond in jail over the weekend,” a well-placed source told Radar. “But Redmond told his attorney he doesn't want to have ANY visitors right now.”
According to an official at Twin Towers Correctional Facility where Redmond O'Neal is currently locked up, the troubled celeb son is allowed visitors.
"There are no restrictions," the official told Radar. Still, he would rather be alone.
As Radar previously reported, Redmond was arrested for allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven store in Santa Monica at knifepoint on May 8 at 3 am. He made out with $60 cash, but was quickly handcuffed.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges of second-degree robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a smoking device, possession of an injection/ingestion device and two counts of possessing a controlled substance, meth and heroin.
His bail was set at $125,000, but it was placed on hold because of a previous parole violation.
Tatum, who shares dad Ryan O’Neal with Redmond, has been worried about her brother’s substance abuse problems for years, a source explained.
“She is heartbroken, but not surprised that Redmond was arrested,” the source admitted to Radar.
“He has been spiraling out of control for a while, and it was only a matter of time until he was arrested.”
Despite her younger brother’s troubles, Tatum is still supportive and hopeful about his future.
“She is grateful that Redmond is still alive," the source claimed.
