Artie Lange Will Avoid Prison Time In Heroin & Cocaine Bust
It looks like Artie Lange will avoid the slammer!
Pals close to the troubled comedian told RadarOnline.com exclusively that come June 1, Lange will appear in court with a simple slap on the wrist following his drug possession charges.
"A deal is set up already. He has to pay a fine and be put on probation," the insider revealed.
Judge Nancy Sivilli of the Essex County Court in New Jersey is expected to let Lange off the hook as long as he remains sober. But pals are worried that Lange could relapse while on probation.
"If it's a long probation term, I don't think he'll make it," the source admitted. "It will be hard for Artie. When they put him on probation that's what I'm worried about."
Lange seemed to be in good spirits on Wednesday when he posted a photo of himself on Twitter, appearing to have lost a significant amount of weight.
"He did lose a lot of weight. I mean he's been in the hospital for six days. They don't give him junk food in the hospital. He's been eating healthy. He combs his hair, he looks good!" The source added.

The 50-year-old has been hospitalized repeatedly throughout the year as he struggles with substance abuse and diabetes.
Lange’s hearing has already been postponed four times since February because of his ongoing health struggles.
Most recently, his May 18 hearing was pushed back due to an emergency nasal infection operation he underwent.
In December, Lange, 50, pleaded guilty to heroin possession.
