OCD Twins Found Dead After Apparent Suicide Pact

The Colorado twins — known for their ongoing battles with OCD — were found dead this past Friday.
RadarOnline.com has learned Sara and Amanda Eldritch, both 33, were inside a car, in a rest stop near Royal Gorge Bridge Park. They apparently died from gunshot wounds.
Investigators believe the inseparable pair made a suicide pact, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the troubled sisters received brain surgery over three years ago to treat their debilitating OCD. Though they’d previously thought of taking their own lives due to their illness, they claimed the procedure had allowed them to escape their condition and live their lives.
Before going under the knife, the twin sisters admitted they often spent 10 hours in the shower and cleaned their bathroom several times a day.
A year after the surgery, Amanda and Sara spoke to one of Littleton Adventist Hospital’s publications, saying their OCD had greatly improved.
“I’m really excited to not feel like I’m at war with my own existence,” Amanda said at the time. “I can be functional enough to go get a job and make a difference. There’s a world out there I want to be a part of.”

As the identical siblings seemed to be improving, it is unknown whether their OCD led to their alleged planned suicide. According to a GoFundMe page started for the women’s mother, Sara and Amanda “finally succumbed” to some sort of “mental illness” after years of fighting to stay strong.
