Mariah Carey Announces Vegas Residency After Bipolar Confession

Mariah Carey's personal and professional lives are in flux, but the show must go on!

The troubled songstress has announced she will be embarking on a Las Vegas residency titled "The Butterfly Returns" at Caesars Palace.

According to a press release, the shows, set to begin on July 5, "will spotlight a more intimate performance on The Colosseum's stage, showcasing Mariah Carey's world-famous vocals with an all-new show that highlights her extensive catalogue of music."

As RadarOnline.com reported, the news of Carey's latest venture comes on the heels of her vowing to fight "vigorously and successfully" the lawsuit her ex-manager, Stella Bulochnikov — who alleges the superstar singer sexually harassed her by getting naked in her presence, among other claims — threatened to bring against her.

And Carey, 48, recently revealed she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2001 after a series of scary incidents.

"Until recently I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me," Carey admitted. "It was too heavy a burden to carry and I simply couldn't do that anymore. I sought and received treatment. I put positive people around me and I got back to doing what I love — writing songs and making music."

No word yet if Carey plans to hire her dancer boyfriend Bryan Tanaka for her new Vegas residency.
