The plastic surgeon at the center of the controversy over Kanye West's new album cover has spoken out.
The rapper recently announced he was placing Jan Adams face on the cover.
Adams was the surgeon who performed on the rapper's mom, Donda West, before she passed away.
West wrote on Twitter: "I want to forgive and stop hating."
But when The Blast website spoke with Adams he gave a cryptic reply: "It's a Macguffen …"
This term means a literal metaphor or a symbol meant to represent the ideas and emotions that the artist is trying to express.
So, it would appear that the plastic surgeon understands where West is coming from by using his image.
Donda West, died in 2007 one day after Dr. Adams performed cosmetic surgeries, including breast reduction and liposuction.
The coroner's report ruled she died of "Coronary artery disease and multiple post-operative factors due to or as a consequence of liposuction and mammoplasty."
