The wife of Howard Stern's longtime engineer is praising Artie Lange after he helped them reach their goal of $50,000 to battle her cancer diagnosis, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

Robin Salem has suffered from colon cancer and lymphoma for the past several years. When her husband, Scott, took to social media to announce a GoFund Me page he created to help raise money for her medical expenses, Lange was one of the first to donate and even shared the page to his own Twitter account.

Within hours, Robin and Scott had hundreds of donations.

"Artie Lange is the best. I love him," Robin told RadarOnline.com. "Artie, I absolutely adore. He is the kindest. I mean he has been through a lot. But he has such a softness in his heart."

"He donated before," Robin revealed. "And I wrote him a note. And he stopped and read my note. I wrote him to thank him. And he told me what I wrote him made him stop rushing and think about not doing bad things."

Lange also took it upon himself to tweet about the cause. "Stay tuned for info on a benefit for Scott the Engineers wife Robin. Scott’s a made guy," he said via his social media account on April 4, 2018. "He needs our help now. I will be headlining. If u knew Robin you’d know why it’s important to help. She’s a doll."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, a source close to the family revealed Robin and Scott received no financial help from the Shock Jock himself, despite his $90 million a year salary.

"He has not helped," the family insider said. "He has given nothing."

Despite the radio moguls lack of contribution, Scott and Robin have reached their financial goal.

"I'm so grateful," Robin added. "Now hopefully, I can get the medical care that I need."
