Roy Halladay's Wife Was 'Very Against' Him Flying Before Deadly Crash
One month before baseball star Roy Halladay lost his life in a fatal plane crash, his wife Brandy Halladay, voiced her disapproval over him flying the dangerous skies.
In a haunting YouTube video – which has now been deleted – Brandy expressed her disapproval of her husband's desire to buy an airplane.
"She fought me the whole way," Roy, 40, said in the video.
"I fought hard," Brandy agreed. "I was very against it." She explained that she never grew up with "airplanes or a comfort level the way Roy did with small planes."
Despite her disapproval, however, she visited the flying center in St. Petersburg with her now-deceased husband.
"I have dreamed about owning a A5 since I retired! Real life is better then sic my dreams!!" Roy tweeted during their visit. He reportedly got his love of planes form his father, who was a corporate pilot for years.
During one of his flights, Roy posted a video of the clouds and sunset. "What do clouds feel like? I didn't know either until I got my new Icon A5! I'm getting bruises on my arms from constantly pinching myself!" he wrote.

ICON Aircraft posted Roy's video on their site and deleted it this Tuesday, moments after the new broke of his death. The retired athlete lost control of his plane as he flew over the Gulf of Mexico, where he crashed.
"We are numb over the very tragic news about Roy Halladay's untimely death. There are no words to describe the sadness that the entire Phillies family is feeling over the loss of one of the most respected human being to ever play the game," wrote Roy Halladay's heartbroken teammates after his passing.
