'Shahs Of Sunset' Star Asa Soltan Exposes Show Fakery In Tell-All Book
Asa Soltan is telling all on the fakery behind Shahs of Sunset!
"From the moment I began working on the show, it was important to me to be the same person and on and off TV," she wrote in her new book, Golden: Empowering Rituals to Conjure Your inner Priestess.
"It never even occurred to me to act any different when the cameras were rolling. But once they did, I could see how my words and actions were often misconstrued and judged — and how much easier it would have been to put on an act."
"This all started to weigh on me, and I began to feel physically and emotionally drained," she explained.
"On the show, I constantly felt the pressure to 'reel it in' and portray myself as milder and more mainstream than I really was," she concluded. "Nobody really understood my vibe. The producers of the show meant well, but they weren't sure where to place me, so they lumped me into this category of 'spiritual weirdo artist.'"

Soltan, 41, also confessed that she isn't nearly as close to her costars as viewers are led to believe.
She revealed that she doesn't have a "deeper" friendship with Mercedes "MJ" Javid, and had to spend time off camera with Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi to fix their relationship.
