‘Alaskan Bush People’ Tragedy: Ami Brown Confirms Lung Cancer Diagnosis

The Alaskan Bush People’s Brown family has confirmed the horrible rumors: Matriarch Ami has advanced lung cancer!
On last night’s episode of the Discovery Channel show, the 53-year-old mother of seven received some heartbreaking news after undergoing a biopsy.
“Not good. Not good at all,” patriarch Billy, 64, told his brood. “They’ve got to do some more tests and stuff and what they can see is stage 3 cancer. She could easily be stage 4.”
“I don’t care who you are. I don’t care what you’ve been through. I don’t care how old you are. If you hear that your mother has cancer, it’s going to shock you,” said Ami’s daughter Rain, 14. “I just wish I could change it somehow. I’m very scared for her.”
But Ami insisted she would fight for her life in the face of grim odds — all for her children and future grandchildren.
“There’s a lot for the kids to experience. I want to be there,” she said. “I want to hold their babies. I want to hear them laughing … I want to see their eyes wide with enthusiasm as they experience these new things.”
As RadarOnline.com first reported in May, stories circulated that Ami was undergoing cancer treatment in Los Angeles earlier this year, leading her estranged family to worry for her health.
“It’s really sad,” her brother, Les Branson, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “She has already suffered so much.”
