Stranger Things star Shannon Purser made a shocking confession on Monday, November 7, revealing to fans that she once struggled with cutting herself .
The 19-year-old took to Twitter to share her story, giving fans a "trigger warning" before posting a photo of the razor blade she had used as a backup, should she ever feel tempted to injure herself.
"I haven't self-harmed in years, but I kept this around, 'just in case,'" the actress admitted, adding, "I forgot it was there & now it's in the trash."
Now, Purser seems to be on the up-and-up, especially thanks to her tremendous success in Stranger Things.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, she gushed over her cult following: "The fan response has been absolutely incredible! This was my first acting credit, so I didn't really know what to expect. I loved the character Barb from the very beginning, and I was really excited to play her."
