South Carolina police found Kala Brown, a woman who has been missing for two months, "chained up like a dog" inside a metal storage container on a 100-acre property, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to ABC News, Spartanburg County investigators were searching the premises when they heard "banging" coming from inside the storage unit, measured at approximately 30 feet by 15 feet.
Inside the padlocked container, they discovered Brown with a chain around her neck, Sheriff Chuck Wright revealed.
Police arrested Todd Kohlhepp — a 45-year-old realtor and registered sex offender — soon after, revealing that Brown helped him clean houses for before showings and the two were likely friends.
Brown and boyfriend Charles Carver first disappeared in August. Carver is still missing, but the car he was driving the last time the couple had been seen was discovered in a "wooded area" on the same property, used for hunting and other recreational activities.
Police said Brown is "alive and well" but understandably "traumatized." The 30-year-old told investigators she had been fed regularly while being held captive. She is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital nearby.
Meanwhile, Kohlhepp is expected to be charged with kidnapping, but authorities expect more charges to surface as they comb through the investigation.
