The Real Housewives of New Jersey is back after a year-long hiatus, but viewers aren’t impressed!

The season 7 premiere only grabbed the attention of 1.7 million viewers — the lowest in the show’s history!

The show premiered in 2009, and quickly topped The Real Housewives of Orange County and The Real Housewives of New York City. The RHONJ season two premiere was the highest Monday night rating in Bravo’s history.

RHONJ hit its prime in 2012, with 3 million viewers tuning in for season four premiere. The average viewership was 2.7 million for seasons two and three.

But season six only hit 1.9 million viewers — and as Teresa Giudice left Jersey, so did the viewers!

Viewership for her special, Teresa Checks In, only averaged 1.3 million.

RadarOnline.com previously reported that the season six premiere only drew in 2.1 million viewers — and dropped to 500,000 the following week!
