Christina Grimmie, a season six contestant on The Voice, has died after being shot late Friday at her own concert.
According to a police spokeswoman, the 22-year-old singer was signing autographs near a merchandise table when a man with two guns walked up and shot her.
Grimmie's brother sprung into action, tackling the gunman, who then shot and killed himself.
Just hours prior to her death, Grimmie posted a video to Twitter asking fans in the Orlando, FL area to come out and see her perform as the opening act for the band, Before You Exit.

Now, family and friends struggle to come to terms with the senseless killing. "It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando, and unfortunately didn't survive the gun shot wounds," Grimme's rep told People. "We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning."
