Alaskan Bush People Billy and Josh "Bam Bam" Brown were sentenced to 30 days in jail earlier this year as part of a plea deal for swindling thousands from the Alaskan government. But in a shocking twist, the father/son duo has escaped time in the slammer, RadarOnline.com can confirm.

According to Alaskan Criminal Superior Court records obtained by RadarOnline.com, the 62-year-old patriarch and his second eldest son, 31, reported for electronic monitoring on April 15.

Last month, a Department of Corrections spokesperson told the Alaska Dispatch News that the Discovery reality stars were required to wear an ankle monitor for 30 days, report to a probation officer and provide urine samples at least once a week..

The rep added that the men are forbidden from harboring weapons or alcohol, and must have a working landline— meaning the self-described "wild" family can't be living in the bush right now.

The men should be free on May 15.

As RadarOnline.com extensively reported, the elder Brown was charged in 2014 with 24 counts of unsworn falsification and theft for lying about living in Alaska in order to receive fat government checks. More family members were also charged with crimes in the case, but Billy and Bam Bam took a plea deal in an effort to protect matriarch Ami and other siblings.

According to court records, the family stole a whopping $27,000 from the state.

In addition to his house arrest, the unemployed Billy and his family must pay about $22,000 in judgments and fines.

Despite the legal trouble, the hit reality show has returned to Discovery for a new season.
