The Magnificent Seven was once quoted as saying of the wintry environment, “When the snow falls, we don’t lose it for five months.”

McQueen, one of the preeminent  film stars of the 60s and 70s, was best known for his roles in The Sand Pebbles, The Thomas Crown Affair, Bullitt, The Getaway,  Papillon, The Great Escape and The Towering Inferno. He died in Nov. 1980.
