The 30-year-old, who has made headlines for his views on gay marriage, is on a rocket ride right now, as he and Lewis are tied with Justin Timberlake for the most MTV Video Music Award nominations (six); while he appears in a head shot on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone.
