Iconic sports broadcaster Al Michaels has formally been charged with a DUI stemming from his arrest several weeks ago, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting,
Michaels, 68, was arrested on April 20 in Santa Monica, California after being stopped at a DUI checkpoint. The breathalyzer test registered .08, the legal limit in the state of California. The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office officially filed the charges earlier this week.
Before moving to NBC to do Sunday Night Football, Michaels was the play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football for ABC.
If convicted of the charge, he could face a year behind bars, and his first court date is June 26.
