Charlie Sheen's ex-wife and baby mama Brooke Mueller's publicist, Steve Honig, has parted ways with the rehabbing socialite, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Attorneys handling Mueller's custody dispute of her twin sons, Bob & Max, 4, were "just making it impossible for him to do his job. Steve wanted to respond to the constant barrage of negative stories about Brooke, but her lawyers didn't allow it. So there was no purpose for Steve to continue as her publicist. He wishes Brooke nothing but the best," a source told Radar.

"He would probably advise her to get new attorneys because Brooke just keeps losing in court. Brooke's lawyers have gone before the judge in child dependency court three times attempting to strip Denise Richards of temporary guardianship of the boys. The judge has shot her down each time."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, lawyers for Mueller secretly went back in front of a Los Angeles judge for a third time last Friday in a desperate attempt to have Mueller’s brother installed as temporary guardian of Max and Bob.

Mueller recently checked into the Betty Ford Center for a 30-day treatment stint, making it her 20th time she’s entered a treatment facility to seek help for substance abuse. But the judge in the child dependency court refused to make any changes to the current living situation of the 4-year-olds, under the roof of Sheen’s second ex-wife, Denise.

The twins were taken away from Mueller because of fears their mother’s drug use could endanger them. Richards was given temporary custody of the boys with Sheen’s blessing.

Fun fact, Honig was formerly Lindsay Lohan's publicist, before he quit earlier this year. Lohan is currently rehabbing at Betty Ford with Mueller.

Calls seeking comment to Honig weren't immediately returned.
