Katy Perry Leads The Pack Of MTV’s VMA Nominations

Mrs. Russell Brand continues to have a killer year.
Teenage Dream singer Katy Perry has the most nominations – nine in all – for the 2011 MTV’s Video Music Awards to be held in August.
Among Perry’s nods: Video of the Year and Best Female Video for Firework.
Close on her heels -- singer Adele with seven nods, including Video of the Year and Best Female Video.
Canadian teen sensation Justin Bieber continues to rack up the honors: he was nominated for Best Male Video for U Smile. (Interestingly, his competition includes Cee Lo Green for F**k You , Eminem, and Kanye West).
Lady Gaga scored a nomination for Best Female Video for her runaway hit Born This Way, while Britney Spears continues her comeback by nabbing a nod for Best Pop Video for Til The World Ends.
The nominations were released late Wednesday.
Fans can vote on their favorites by logging onto MTV.com. The show will be broadcast live on MTV on August 28 from Los Angeles.
