No one was more shocked than the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City when they learned the show would not hit TV screens on Tuesday, February 15 as planned.
RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the housewives were forced to cancel their premiere parties, their sponsors, and even send notes to all those invited when their new premiere date was announced.
"All the cast members were upset when they heard the news, but it was especially hard for Ramona and Sonja because they were forced to cancel their premiere parties," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.
It was rumored that the season two premiere was delayed because the show was too boring, but there have since been conflicting reports as to the real reason.
One report says it was a strategic decision to give the latest show in the hit franchise, The Real Housewives of Miami, a chance to take off.
Another claims that the producers just needed more time to edit all the footage.
But whatever the reason, it's thrown party plans into disarray.

Romona Singer's bash was set for Tuesday, February 8th at Covet in New York and according to a club rep, it has now been rescheduled for March 17th.
Meanwhile, Sonja Morgan's soiree was scheduled at the posh Chelsea Club and no new date has been announced as of yet.
"They had to cancel their sponsors and even send out notes to everyone they invited,"added our source.
Their botched party plans were not the only complications faced by the housewives.
According to our source RHONY had also filmed a segment for The Rachel Ray Show to coincide with the premiere, which in turn disrupted her show's schedule.
"The delay surprised the Rachel Ray producers and now they have to make new plans for that particular show and decide if they should hold the filmed segment for later broadcast."
