"Everybody, including Nicole, started drinking on the bus," one of the guests tells RadarOnline.com.  "It was crazy!"

Along for the ride was Snooki's boyfriend Jionni LaValle and her high school crush Kenny Hitzel, who she still regularly sees on the side, according to the source.

By the time she made it to the club, Snooki was "hammered and acting crazy," says the source.  "Of course, Nicole drunk and Nicole sober, it's almost the same thing."

Snook's best Jersey Shore pal J-WOWW made the scene so did singer Sean Kingston and The Real Housewives of New Jersey regular Kim G, who initially wasn't allowed in by security.

"Her name wasn't on the list and she wasn't happy," our source tells us.  "But once she got inside, she acted like it was her party which annoyed Nicole to no end."

While tossing condoms at her guests -- Lifestyles condoms was a party sponsor and had an ample supply of product on hand -- Snooki was especially excited by her birthday cake.

"She was like a little kid when it came out," the source says.  "She was jumping up and down and clapping.  The cake was from The Cake Boss people and Cousin Vinny from the show made the delivery.  They'd made her famous hairdo puff as part of the design and Nicole laughed uncontrollably when she saw it."

One thing that didn't put a smile on the birthday girl's face was Kim Kardashian's no show.

"Nicole REALLY wanted her to come and once it became obvious she wasn't, Nicole was beyond disappointed.  She said she thought 'it was rude' for Kim not to attend when she'd gone to Kim's party."
