Forget about decorating the nursery – Mario Lopez has splashed-out on a whole new house for his new baby, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Extra host - who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Courtney Mazza - has paid $2 million for this Spanish-style villa in the foothills of Glendale, California.
The couple’s dream 4500 square foot home has six bathrooms, four bedrooms and has been completely renovated. It also boasts hardwood floors, a pool, private driveway, landscaped gardens and panoramic city views.
Lopez and Mazza have just inked a deal to do a yet un-named VH1 reality show which will chronicle their life as they prepare for their little bundle of joy.
The excited dad-to-be has been Tweeting about his new baby and reality show.
Bosses at VH1 are confident that the show will be a hit as Lopez has a strong fan base dating back to when he played hunky A.C. Slater on Saved By The Bell.
A VH1 spokesman said: “Our audience has grown up with Mario. They have watched him go from a kid in a fictional high school to a man who has succeeded in many different facets in the TV business.

“We're thrilled that we get to be a part of his next transition into fatherhood. This new series fits perfectly with VH1's programming because Mario's upcoming life changes reflect the same family milestones that many of our viewers are experiencing for the first time.”
Lopez recently announced that he is planning to marry Mazza, and their wedding could also be included in the show.
Before meeting Mazza, the television host was briefly married to former Miss USA/ Doritos girl Ali Landry in 2004, before dating his Dancing With The Stars partner Ukranian Karina Smirnoff from 2006-2008.
Lopez met Mazza, a successful stage actress/dancer, when they were mounting A Chorus Line on Broadway two years ago.
The couple plans to marry after the baby is born this fall. This will be the first child for each of them.
