Bristol Palin is letting art imitate life in her acting debut.
In an new clip from a July episode of the ABC Family drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Bristol plays a teenager who has a son.
Her character steps in to welcome the show’s star Amy (played by Shallene Woodley) to a special music camp.
“We’re all teen moms and musicians,” Bristol’s character explains to a bewildered Amy. “You’re the world’s greatest French horn player and I am cellist Yo-Yo Ma.”
In real life, the 19-year old daughter of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin has a son Tripp with former fiance Levi Johnston.
