With Josie’s special homecoming episode set to air on Mother’s Day, the newest episode of 19 Kids and Counting had two of her older siblings visiting her in the hospital, which they hadn’t done since a week after her premature birth.
Josiah and Joy Anna were sick when the rest of the family visited Josie so this was the first time they’d seen her in quite a while.
Her older brother was surprised at how tiny she still is. “She looked a lot bigger in the movies Mom and Dad have been bringing home,” Josiah said.
“She’s so small, it feels like you’re just holding a blanket,” Joy Anna said about her littlest sister.

When they first saw Josie Michelle was showing her off and said, “She’s got Daddy’s nose,” and Dad Jim Bob joked , “ Sorry about that dear.”
Josie currently weighs 4 pounds 4 ounces, and she is taking every feeding with a bottle. Michelle gave a progress update: “Josie is doing really good now. We’re waiting to hear when the doctors think she can go home.”
Michelle wasn’t sure when that would be, explaining “ She still has a way to go before she’s strong and big.”
Meanwhile, the rest of the Duggar kids who are living in Little Rock, Arkansas went on a trip to Mountain View where their friend Corky Baker took them to his iron works company and had the Duggars become iron welders. They even made a Duggar family tree and Corky gave Jim Bob a few extra “leaves” for the tree just in case the Duggar family gets any larger.
The kids also visited a farm owned by their new next door neighbor P. Allen Smith where they spent the day playing with the sheep and picking flowers
Little Jackson said he enjoyed chasing the sheep, but he wanted a different animal for a pet. “I wish I had a Tiger, then I could run faster, then I could jump up on him.”
Johannah said she got to pick eggs from the hen house and even told how many she picked “I picked like 70 40.”
The special homecoming episode with Josie airs on Mother’s Day on TLC.
