“Joe grabbed the cell phone of a female employee at Mantra Films,” an insider told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “The employee was using the phone to send an article to a news media outlet about the ‘bad’ things Joe Francis was doing at his company.”

After reading what was written on the phone Joe allegedly became furious. “Joe came back and physically attacked the female employee and another employee in the accounting department who was visibly pregnant,” the source said.

According to information obtained by RadarOnline.com from a contact at the Santa Monica Police Department, two squad cars responded to a “disturbance call” at Mantra Films regarding the incident that occurred at 4:40 P.M. on Friday, May 20.

The police report states that it was a civil dispute with allegations of Francis “pushing” female employees who intended to distribute negative press material about Francis.

“Joe fired all involved employees even if they only viewed the attack,” the source continued. “The Santa Monica police were called and took statements.”

The report goes on the say that there were no injuries and officers garnered enough information at the scene that it was determined no arrests should be made. Instead, the matter has been turned over to the City Attorney’s Office and it will be up to the Santa Monica DA’s office whether to press charges or not.
Last year, 2008 Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole filed a police report claiming that Francis hit and kicked her repeatedly while she was at Guys and Dolls Nightclub in West Hollywood with then-boyfriend Brody Jenner.
The Los Angeles District Attorney decided not to press charges.
