In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com Bret Michaels’ sister, Michele Sychak, talked about how Bret is holding up following his traumatic brain hemorrhage, his upcoming promotional schedule, and how thrilled the family are that Bret won Celebrity Apprentice.
“Bret looks tired, he is moving slower, but is in good spirits,” Sychak said. “I can get hit by a truck today, no one knows how long they have, he is going to continue to live his life. He isn’t an idiot, if he is compromising himself he will stop. The doctors are saying lets take it easy, lets see what happens.”
When it comes to his grueling promotional schedule over the next few days, and his scheduled tour, Sychak said he is going to try his best to fulfill all of his obligations but is aware of not pushing himself too hard.

“It’s going to be rough, he is going to find out whether he is ready to do this, real fast,” Sychak told RadarOnline.com “We haven’t talked about him going on the tour, but if he can’t do it to the level of expectation, he won’t do it. If he feels he is shorting the fans, it’s something he will take into consideration.
“We've all told him ‘dude you deserve a break, take one,’ we’ve all gone to work when we feel like crap, but its not the flu. But he said it eloquently last night – ‘I cant wait for the other shoe to drop. What are you going to do sit at home & wait?’
“He is going to try the tour and see what happens. The flying back & forth, he is going to see how he feels as far as the schedule is going. He will try to fulfill all the expectations he makes. His motivation comes from within, not outside.”

“Last night was very exciting I had a feeling he was going to win. I think he put a lot of hard work into it. When stuff like this happens you want the high to last a little longer. We were all watching it with our shot glasses ready to toast.
“You can tell he is having trouble walking, that was apparent. He has a significant amount of pain in his back, stiffness. If anyone has gone through the amount of trauma that he has, its gonna take a lot. You’re not running back to the gym after this.
“He looks like he lost weight, but considering the pain he is in, he looks great. You can see the adrenaline keeping him going.
“The Sychak’s are a competitive group, and we were really excited that he won. It was nice to hear Ivanka say what everyone was thinking, that he worked hard and was successful as a project manager, its not a sympathy thing.
“Bret won every project he had. He was the better contestant. I’m glad it came down to those two though, they really formed a bond.”
