In the newest episode of 19 Kids and Counting, little Josie Duggar reached another milestone in her life: she drank from a bottle!

Although Josie briefly went home in the beginning of April, on the show, Josie is still in the hospital but is growing by leaps and bounds. During one visit, Dr. Arrington told Michelle that Josie “gained 50 grams today,” weighed 3 lbs. 8.5 ounces and would be able to go home in a week.

A nurse taught a nervous Michelle how to properly feed Josie a bottle of breast milk. “I’m going to have to learn to feed her so she doesn’t choke,” Michelle said. She fed Josie her full bottle and Dr. Arrington said it was “one big victory.”

As she held little Josie, Michelle said she was “thankful she’s happy” and continued to feed her.

The rest of the family was also wrapped up in baby Josie, especially her older sister in-law and cousin. Anna, who is married to Josh and is the mother of Mackynzie, and cousin Amy Duggar set out to make Josie a present of knitted booties. The only problem was neither of them knows how to knit.

Anna, baby Mackynzie and Amy all headed out to the store to buy materials to knit the booties. “We have no idea what we’re doing,” Amy admitted.  “We need the 411 on baby booties!”

A pop up revealed: “It would take close to 35,000 yards of yarn to knit sweaters for the entire Duggar family.”

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Anna and Amy will be knitting the entire family anything anytime soon. The girls really were out of their league and ended up calling in Grandma Duggar to teach them how to crochet. “I did my hardest and failed miserably,” Amy happily admitted.

Michelle was encouraged by the girls trying to make Josie a present. “I think Amy would be pretty good at it, I’m guessing. I’m not sure,” she said about the project. “I think we’re just going to buy some,” Amy admitted after she only crocheted a strand and Anna made “flip flops” for Josie.

The next episode of 19 Kids and Counting will take the Duggar family to Pickle Mountain for some fun outdoor activities.
