Sandra Bullock may be one of Hollywood's most accomplished actresses, but long before she realized every actor's dream of winning an Oscar, she openly spoke about her main dream -- her dream of being a mom.
Why Sandra Bullock Named Her Baby Boy "Louis"
The Blind Side star -- who grew up in a close-knit family in Texas -- has long expressed her deep desire to be a mother, and has often spoken fondly of being a parent to James' three children, Sunny, 6, Jesse Jr., 12, and Chandler, 15, from his previous two marriages.
In an interview with People in March 2007, Bullock talked of her hopes for having children, saying, "If that's gonna happen, that's exactly the way things are supposed to be, and it would be amazing. And if it didn't happen, then I'd know that I was supposed to be right here with these three amazing, blonde Aryan children. Everyone looks at me and goes, 'I know you ain't the mama!' I'm like, 'That's okay, I can put in some blond highlights!'"

In that same interview, Bullock spoke lovingly of James' three kids, saying, "I have children, amazing children. My love and my hopes for their future and their happiness, for their homework to be done and for them to know how smart and beautiful they are is no less than if they were my own biological children."I have my family, and it's the family that some higher power put in my path. I feel really lucky."
In her new interview with People, in which she announces her decision to divorce James and reveals that she is in the final stages of adopting a baby boy, Bullock said she couldn't imagine her life without James' kids, and the plan is for them to co-parent.
As for the baby boy she is adopting, Bullock said she plans on raising the baby -- named Louis -- by herself.
James released a statement to People in which he expresses his hope the couple will reconcile. “I know in my heart that I can be the best father possible to my four children and the mate Sandy deserves, and realize that this is an incredible mountain to climb. But I believe the steps I have taken in the last 30 days are the foundation to making this happen.”
