Kate Gosselin On Jon Custody Dispute: 'I Will Provide For My Kids'
April 6 2010, Published 6:59 a.m. ET
Kate Gosselin has issued a statement as reports fly that her ex husband Jon is seeking primary physical custody of their children, charging that Kate’s appearance on Dancing With The Stars makes her an absentee mom.
RadarOnline.com obtained Kate’s statement, which shows the mom of eight clearly rejects Jon’s assertions. "I am not willing to comment in public on the custody discussions regarding my children,” Kate said. “What I will say is this: I am and always will be a mother first, but as a single working mom I will do everything necessary to provide for my kids despite the opinions of others."

Kate built a dance floor in her Wernersville, PA home so she could spent more time with the children and not have to practice in Los Angeles where the show is taped.
But she still flies to LA weekly to appear on the ABC hit. She has previously pointed out that if she was working as a nurse she’d need to be doing double shifts and she’d never see her children.
Kate is the family income earner as Jon has not had a steady job since TLC dropped Jon & Kate Plus 8 after he told the network it could no longer film his children.
