No big surprise on American Idol Wednesday night as Paige Miles, the 24-year-old from Naples, Florida, was voted off after her lackluster performance of Phil Collin’s Against The Odds the night before.

With Paige now gone, American Idol now has it’s coveted Top Ten who will go on tour this summer. RadarOnline.com has all the lows and highs of the evening.

Starting off the night was another fast forward-inducing group number. This week, it was a disastrous rendition of Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.  After a commercial break, host Ryan Seacrest chatted up the group, signaling a key aspect to the show: family storylines help. Huggable Michael Lynche keeps scoring votes with his warm persona and the many cutaways to his new family.

After the banter, Lee DeWyze, Siobhan Magnus and Casey James were the first up and were the first saved. Floppy haired Tim Urban and Paige Miles (who has had a hard time finding her rhythm and style the entire competition) were next, with Randy Jackson prophesizing that Paige deserved to be at the bottom more. Randy got his wish: Tim and Paige were in the bottom three in votes.

Lacey Brown Is Eliminated - Judges Won't Save Her

Before more pronouncements, there was plenty of star-powered filler. Miley Cyrus, who was the group’s mentor this week, stopped by again to sing When I Look At You. Lucky for her, the judges didn’t chime in afterwards on her sometimes nasally performance (Miley admitted she was “scared” of Simon Cowell) which got what the teen star called “her first standing ovation.”

Soon it was Aaron Kelly’s turn (safe!) and Didi Benami. After the judges chimed in on what they want to see from her next (Ellen DeGeneres wants her to choose better songs and Simon agreed), Ryan let her know that she was safe as well. Big bear Michael was next up and was quickly told that America loved him enough to keep him another week. Not surprisingly, the season’s powerhouse Crystal Bowersox also made the top ten, but not before she got the crowd cheering when she said the person’s guidance she would take to heart was her own.

Katie Stevens and Andrew Garcia had a tougher time re-living the criticism from the previous evening’s performance. The crowd erupted in boos when Katie was sent to sit with Tim and Paige in elimination limbo. Ryan quickly reversed the tide by announcing mere seconds later that Katie was actually saved as well.

After a break, new couple Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato took the stage together to sing the duet “Make A Wave.” Despite their high notes, it was a pretty boring performance with none of the heat or tension expected from two teens in the early throes of a romance. Jonas, who was a judge during the audition rounds, wished Tim (who he helped send through to Hollywood) good luck with the elimination.

Finally, the night’s big moment: Paige was eliminated in the most anti-climactic (and quick) axing. “It’s got to a point where it’s not working, I don’t want to give you any false hope here, it’s the end,” Simon said before adding, “You’ve got a great voice.”
