The famed club DJ stopped by Federal Hill Tattoo Shop in Rhode Island Thursday, and RadarOnline.com has learned that his new tattoo has quite some sentimental value - it's a tribute to his friend, who owns on-line clothing store dirtycouture.com.

Pauly got a star within a star within a star on his left elbow, the logo of his friend's store. A source close to the reality mega-star tells RadarOnline.com, "That's what a great friend Pauly is! Now he's a walking billboard for his buddy's store!"
