From Coverup to Payoff: John Edwards' Former Aide Signs With Agent

John Edwards cheated and lied when he ran for president. His loyal friend and aide Andrew Young simply lied, helping Edwards execute one of the most outrageous cover up in American political history.

And now Young is cashing in for his part in deceiving the American public – he’s signed with a Hollywood superagent to help make a movie from his book The Politician.

Young is currently on a book tour and got a warm welcome in North Carolina on Tuesday night at Barnes and Noble.

When the National Enquirer first exposed Edwards’ affair with Rielle Hunter, and her pregnancy, Young, at Edwards’ request, came forward and claimed the baby was his! Both Young and his wife Cheri stuck to that lie until the Enquirer caught Edwards in a Los Angeles hotel with Hunter and forced him into a confession.

Young received a substantial amount of money from Edwards’ back Fred Barron and even used it to put a down payment on a home, which now stands vacant and unfinished.

Despite Young’s role in the Nixonian-like adventure, he’s now selling his book, attacking Edwards and says he hopes Danny Devito plays him in the movie!
