A Smart Barbie! Computer Engineer Barbie

Some of us have resisted Barbie, for her unrealistic shape, her materialistic ways (a Ferrari?) and her dopey boyfriend but the new Barbie has a good job, dumped Ken, and is trying to be a role model for young girls.
To prove that she was more than just a pretty face, Mattel held a vote to determine her her next career. "Computer Engineer Barbie" won out and is now featured in the "Barbie: I Can Be " series. Significant because Computer Engineer is a male-dominated field, our new generation Barbie encourages girls to apsire to any job . Next up, "CEO Barbie." Well, a girl can dream.
