Howard Stern says he’ll gladly replace Simon Cowell on American Idol – for $100 million.
REPORT: Idol Producers Courting Howard Stern To Replace Simon Cowell
As reports circulate that Stern is being considered as Simon’s replacement next season, the King of All Media addressed the situation on his satellite radio show Monday.
“They’d have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough,” Stern said, adding that judging Idol is the best job on the planet. (Of course he said it in his own inimitable fashion, calling the show a “(bleeping) karaoke contest.”

There has been much speculation lately that Stern will leave Sirius. With Idol in turmoil putting Stern together with Fox’s hit show seems like a great idea to many.
“Yeah I would do that show for $100 million,” Stern said on air Monday.

Ellen DeGeneres just joined the show this season replacing Paula Abdul and Idol is still strong in the ratings, although Ellen has yet to make an on-air appearance.
